Plans are underway for the Annual Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, scheduled for Sunday, May 12, 2013. With the gracious support of the numerous individuals who will participate, we are hoping to continue to help those affected by HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and their families, through support and services. We want to educate both the public and health care professionals about HCM, the number one cause of sudden death among America’s youth. Because of our past success and with the money raised last year, The Elizabeth T. McNamee Fund has generously supported the HCMA, Juvenile Diabetes Association, The Great South Bay YMCA, Children’s Hospital, Scholarship Programs, and other Community Projects. Once again, we hope to provide each participant with a “thank you” gift bag and a ticket for raffle prizes. This has proven to be extraordinarily successful in the past. We are in need of gift items or cash donations to be used for their purchase. We would appreciate it if you could forward your contribution or gift item to us by Friday April 12, 2013. Arrangements can be made to pick up your contribution. If you have any questions or require any additional information, please feel free to call us at 631- 321-0806 or email us at info@elizabethtmcnamee.org . Everyone involved is committed to continuing the tradition of caring that Elizabeth, in her too-short life, exemplified. Once again, we ask you to continue to give to this extremely worthwhile cause. The Elizabeth T. McNamee Fund is a 501c3 organization. Your contribution is deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Humankind lost a magnificent young woman when Elizabeth T. McNamee lost her life to HCM. We are confident that with your assistance, and the help of other concerned people, the Ninth Annual Run will be another success. Doing so will allow us to continue Elizabeth’s legacy of caring for those in need. Please join us on the day of the event. We look forward to seeing you there. Respectfully Yours,
Maria A. McNamee
